Allison + Landon | On Mountain Micro Wedding | 12.19.24
Breckenridge, CO
Bonding over their shared passions for edm music, books (two of the biggest Harry Potter fans), values, adventurous culinary taste and similar upbringing in Houston, these two ski lovers couldn’t envision a more majestic location to marry than the slopes of Breckenridge, CO. They hired Gabrielle Stowe of Ski the Day Photography to capture their special occasion. Apres ski with their family continued a the Overlook Restaurant on Peak 9 and at their Rental home in downtown Breckenridge.
Weaving in tradition:
To honor Allison’s cultural heritage, they concluded their ceremony with the Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass. (FYI- use a wrapped light bulb in place of a glass). This tradition represents many aspects of a relationship and also symbolizes the breaking down of barriers. It reminds us that marriage is fragile, and must be honored, respected and handled with much care. It also signifies that the couple are now officially a husband and wife and that it is time to begin the celebration of their marriage.
“Love is friendship caught fire; it is quiet, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not brood over the past. It is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough.
